Partnering for a Sustainable Future

Sustainability is at the core of our operations and values. As we continue to source and supply the highest quality rice and fresh produce, we are committed to practices that protect our planet, support our farming communities, and deliver unparalleled value. We believe that our success is deeply intertwined with the sustainability of our supply chain and the resilience of our partners.

Our Commitment to Sustainable Sourcing

Ethical Partnerships
We prioritise building long-term relationships with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability. Our partnerships are founded on principles of fair wages, safe working conditions, and community development.

Environmentally Friendly Practices
Our sourcing strategies emphasize environmental stewardship. We support and promote:

  • Organic Farming: Utilizing natural fertilizers and pest control methods.
  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM): Reducing the reliance on chemical pesticides.
  • Water Conservation: Implementing advanced irrigation systems to minimize water use.
  • Soil Health: Encouraging crop rotation and the use of organic compost to maintain fertile and productive soils.

Sustainable Shipping and Logistics

Carbon Footprint Reduction:
We are dedicated to minimizing our carbon emissions throughout our logistics network. By optimizing transportation routes, using energy-efficient vehicles, and sourcing locally when feasible, we reduce our environmental impact.

Waste Reduction:
Our logistics and storage practices are designed to minimize food waste. Through careful handling, innovative packaging, and rigorous quality control, we ensure that our produce arrives fresh and with minimal loss.

Collaborative Efforts

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
We are committed to ongoing improvement and innovation in sustainability. By staying at the forefront of new technologies and practices, we strive to enhance our sustainability efforts continuously.

Shared Knowledge and Best Practices:
We believe in the power of collaboration. By sharing knowledge and best practices with our partners, we can collectively advance our sustainability goals.

We believe that by sourcing and shipping our products sustainably, we can create a positive impact on the environment, uplift farming communities, and deliver exceptional value to our customers. Thank you for supporting our commitment to a more sustainable future. Together, we can build a more sustainable future for our businesses, our customers, and our planet.

Intro:

Ghana’s population is growing by 2% a year and is predicted to have increased by 70% over the next 25 years. Nigeria’s population is growing at an even faster rate and is predicted to double over the next 25 years. The demand for food is growing.

Africa is changing. It has a rising middle class who have aspirations. DaMos management wants to help feed their aspirations by sourcing the best produce from the breadbasket of England: Lincolnshire and East Anglia, plus the fruit and veg regions of Southern Spain. This ensures a consistent supply chain is established and produce is delivered promptly.
